Baby E is 4 months old. I cant believe how time flies.

The sun was in her eyes. Isn't her little outfit so cute> We call her the pink baby because most of her wardrobe consists of pink. I guess that comes with being the first girl in the Family.The boys were riding their bikes last night in their PJ's.

Yesterday We had baby E's big day. The dress is beautiful

Theses little booties were so cute I love them. My sweet mother stayed up until 12:00 the night before finishing these.I love her eyes they are so big. It was so hard taking her picture because the back drop is a silky sheet so when I put her down she would just slide. So it took me quit a while to get a good one. My mom made the dress it is so pretty.

My little Valentines Baby

I can't believe he is 5 years old. He will be going to school this year. (I feel old) It seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. I remember changing his first diaper in the hospital. I got a little freaked out because i realized that this little person is totally in my care and he is counting on me to teach him everything he needs to know. Hopefully I am doing a good job. This is Big brothers birthday cake. Little brother decided he was hungry while it was on the cooling rack. (it was good even though it didn't look very pretty) We had uncles and cousins and Aunts and grandpas and granas and grannies come and share his birthday cake. He was so excited for everyone to come. Before everyone came He kept asking every 5 seconds "what time is it" and "When is everyone going to get here"
Hasn't he grown up so much. He is such a big help. I love him so much. Thanks big brother for being mommies big helper.

Last night around 5:30 DH wasn't home from work yet so I call him to see if he is going to be home soon because dinner was almost ready.

I asked him what he was doing. He said "Nothing." Kind of suspicious like. I asked him where are you? He said "at a store" He told me it was a surprise. I wanted to know right then he said I couldn't find out until he got home. It just kept going on like that for a while. He wasn't giving in and finally I gave up. So I waited impatiently at home. Finally He got home and this is what he brought me Saying "Happy early Valentines Day, Will you be my Valentine?" My heart melted he is just a sweetheart isn't he?

He was at an antique store when I called him. He knows I like all things old. The brass looking thing is an old scale. The cup he said is older than depression glass which I think is pretty cool. The cup came full of all sorts of candy(the boys loved that) I love my DH so much and am grateful my Heavenly Father gave him to me.
These are the two brothers this morning just before breakfast. who right now are playing man from snowy river. I sure do love these two brothers.

This heart now hangs on my door. Today I got all my hearts out and put them up. It was really fun remembering what I had. I made this heart last month while I was waiting to go into labor. It is rolled up felt glued onto a heart cut out of a cereal box. I found the Idea on a blog. (I can't remember were.)
Last month at my swap I won the give away. Which is funny because I wasn't there. (its seems to be that whoever isn't there wins the giveaway.) This is a cute little candle mat mad from felt. I love it. And the heart was painted on the candle. On the otherside isa little salt box house (sorry no pic)Isn't it so cute?
Then I got cute little heart ornies and some love letters. Stained and stamped. Thanks Angie you did a awesome job. I love them all. Also I got two painted blocks one with a salt box house and the other with a cute saying on it.(again sorry no pic:()

On monday Baby E went to her two week apt. She weighs 9 lbs 13 oz She is a growing girl. This isn't the best picture but I had to share. This little dress is almost too small. I felt kind of silly putting it on her just to be at home. But then I thought that she wont be able to wear it much longer so I had to put it on her. And I'm not sure if the head band is on right. Wether it needs to be higher or lower or whatever. Im still getting used to putting bows and flowers on her.

Well Baby E is sleeping and the boys are watching a movie so I think I better go have a nap. Sounds good Right?

Well she is here healthy and strong. (sorry the pictures aren't in order), I was scheduled to be induced on Friday the 14 which was my due date. I went in on Thursday to see how I was progressing.

I was dilated to a two. The doctor striped my membranes hoping it would move things along. So all that day I was hoping to go into labor nothing happened maybe a few light contractions but nothing sirius. So I was convinced that we were going in at 6:00 on Friday to start labor. Except at 1:00 I was dreaming about some show we watched just before bed. And I felt a contraction, then I felt something wet Like I Peed a little. Then I felt more wet and I woke up all the and I realizedI that my water just broke. I was so excited, I got up and got dressed and I told DH that We should probably go. He was still sleeping through all of this. He got up and got dressed and got all of our bags to the car. We got to the hospital and got settled in our room and it was 2:45. My contractions were nothing real regular but I wanted to go in just in case they got stronger. So all through the morning I was contracting and I was dilated to 3 so was progressing pretty good. The nurse gave me the option to start with pitocin to get things going a little faster I opted to start pitocin (I wanted her here) So then the contractions got going good. The doctor finally got there at about 8:30-9:00 I was dilated to 6 and I was ready for my Epidural. But the (well I don't know how to spell it ) epidural guys were busy with someone else and I had to wait an hour. By the time he came I was dilated to 7 and in some pain. He had trouble getting the needle in my back which is kind of scary. After I was settled I could still fill some pain which is okay because I wanted to feel something. The nurse and doctor left me to have a rest but I couldn't really because I was still in some pain. Then I felt lots of pressure and I new the baby was coming. They never came for a long time and I kept aksing DH when they said they were coming back He didn't know. Finally they came and the nurse checked me and she said Oh this baby is here. She told me "don't push and ran out and got the doctor and everyone. they had to hurry and gett everything ready. She was here in about 3 pushes. The cord was wrapped around her neck and arm pretty tight she wasn't breathing for a little while. The doctor took her over to the table and pumped oxygen in her and she finally started to breathe. It was the best sound in the world when she started to cry. She was born at 11:08 8lbs 3 oz 20 inches long. We are so blessed to be able to have doctors and nurses that are trained for these kinds of things. I am grateful that she is here and everything is good. We are settleing to our new life style really well. She sleeps good at night even though i know this will change I am glad she sleeps now at least. The big brothers love her and ask all kinds of questions like "What does she eat, why is she sleeping, is she hungry." and that not even half of them. DH has been so good through everything I love him so much and am grateful he was there to hold my hand.

Well I have been ready and getting ready for this baby to come for the last month. My bags have been packed. I went grocery shopping and laundry done. Now anther week has come and i have to do it all over again without having a baby. I am ready for this baby to come. I have been ready for (like i said a month) But I guess she isn't ready to come yet. I went to the doctor on Monday and still no change from the week before. The Doc gave me the option to get started on Tuesday which is today. He said it takes longer when you are induced ( i think it is just the situation.) So i have another doc apt. on Thursday and if nothing by then we are going to go in on Friday and have a baby. which is fine with me because that is my Due date and i really don't want to go over my due date. So now I just have to hurry and get things done and then wait for Friday to come.

I am a little behind posting our events. Little brother had a birthday the day after thanksgiving. And that is the day we go get christmas trees. So we were in the mountains. It took us a while to find the perfect tree.

I made cupcakes for his b-day cake this year because I thought cupcakes would be easier to pack than a big cake. Turns Out I was right. We had a blast getting trees and Little brother had a great b-day.

I had this ultrasound a couple of weeks ago. I thought now would be a perfect time to blog about it. There is her little profile isn't it so cute?There is kind of a front view. This makes her nose look a little squished.

Another leg and foot. I asked if the lady would check to see if it was still a girl because I am still in denial about it. She says it's a girl still. But I am not going to be 100% convinced until she comes out still a girl.

We went to our wards trunk or treat. it was really fun every year they have a little parade and we walk around and all the parents get to take pictures and see all the costumes. They both fell asleep on the way home.

Big brother asked us when we were going camping again. We had to tell him that we probably wouldn't go camping again until next year. He would leave it alone he kept asking and asking. So finally mommy and daddy compromised and we set up the tent in the yard and slept in the tent las night. This is the boys this morning.

Our new kitty rufus slept all night with us. YOu can just see his little paw getting little brother.
IT was actually a night from H E double tooth picks for mom and dad. but I think the boys really enjoyed it. (and the kitty)

Labor Day Weekend

Every year we go to the Fort Bridger Rendezvous. We get ready all year. (well okay so maybe just 2 weeks before) by sewing clothes and moccasins.
This is our cute little family. This was monday morning.

Today we went to the doctor. I was able to take both boys and Daddy. So they were able to see the baby and hear the heart beat. I am not sure what they thought. When I was laying down for the Ultra sound little brother was pretty wide eyed he didn't know what was going on. Big brother was watching really close. He was so excited to see the baby. The ultra sound lady even looked twice to make sure. I even asked the Doctor if it was going to change, he said no it will not change. So now we get to start buying pink which is really weird, But exciting.

So these are our bunk beds. If you look closely you can see a little head sleeping. Little brother is having a nap.

We went out side and there was a bird on the close line. My MIL who was visiting for a minute said it was a baby bird. Then I looked around and saw the mama bird chirping real loud and flying and her feathers were all lifted up on her head.

Fox cry

Have you ever heard a fox cry? Well 3 or 4 months ago DH and I heard this noise outside our bedroom window at about 2 or 3 in the morning. I don't know about you but I have never heard this until then. It was really kinda creepy. We had no idea what it was. So the next day I got on youtube and found a fox cry and this is what we heard. So last night the fox returned. We both woke up and we knew exactly what it was. DH said, "why couldn't it come and wake us up at 6:00 when it was time to wake up." LOL

Last friday DH went to the city to get our new bunk beds (post coming soon) So I decided to take my mother and the boys to the mountains for a ride. I love the mountains they are just so peaceful. I was so excited to see this little guy. I have never seen a moose in real life. I am so glad it was one of those rare occasions when I have my camera.

This is the rock creek river. I am not sure if that is what it is called but that is what I am calling it.

At the yellowpine camp ground there is a little trail that takes you past little streams and it leads to some stairs. You can see them in the back ground in this picture. The stairs go up for a little bit and them it comes to a trail and the trail takes you to the upper still water dam. Well we walked up to the top of the stairs and we were standing there letting the boys play. Then max starts to growl and takes off running. Mom says "time to go" I agreed but the boys being boys wanted to see what he was growling at. Then I see a deer run off. Which is really relieving, I thought that maybe it was a bear or something that we didn't want to see.

It was time to get a haircut they were getting so shaggy.
Ok so this isn't a finished project but I had to post about it. This is my first time buying flowers I can't wait to plant them. I will post pictures when I plant them.
So I needed a box to cover my tissues so I covered this box with coffee stained fabric. Unfortunately the tissue box wouldn't fit in so I had to take them out of the original box and put them in this box. Sorry there is no before and after pics:(
This is a cute little tea pot I found at The thrift store while I was on a girls weekend.
I made a secret box from a book. I guess it isn't secret any more if I just told yall about it lol. But I had some old books that I got from the High School my mom works at. They were just going to throw them away so a got a few. Which reminds me I made a book lantern but I forgot to take pictures of it so it will have to be another post.

This I also got at the TS on our girls weekend.
I love this cake dome I was looking particularly for one of these on our girls weekend and there is a plate that goes with it but it won't fit on the shelf:( but it is okay. The box also came from TS.
This book shelf is my favorite.( yes it too came from the TS on my girls weekend). I (well mostly DH) will be turning this into a pie safe I want to paint it pistachio green. Won't it be so cute.

This cute little shelf my sister in law gave it to me for my birthday and i painted it and primed it up. The little sign on the top is not finished it says welcome but I want it to say primitives or something like that. The pictures are my grandparents on the top and DH grandparents on bottom. Oh and also i haven't put knobs on the doors yet.

This is my toaster cover. I love it I think it is so cute. Hopefully we never have to get a bigger toaster:)
I made this doll I have always wanted a doll so I made one. I have made one before but it didn't turn out the way I wanted.
I started this about a year ago and I have just barely gotten to it again. It turned out a little darker than i wanted but hey at least it is finished right?
I found this and TS but it had hearts and sheep and geese on it. It wasn't my cup of tea so I sanded them off and stained it. I am not sure I like it maybe some day I will change it I don't know.
So there is a story behind this one. I found one like this at the TS on our girls weekend. My mother in law saw it and she fell in love. She told me that we would have to get the pattern so she could make herself one. So that gave me an idea. The next week was mothers day and So i set out to make one. Well I am not a carpenter so my first attempt failed (but i was using recycled wood from an old desk and the wood just split) So i had to go buy wood. And recut everything. But this is pretty much my first wood nail project so I have to admit I did pretty good but I couldn't give it away for a gift because it is not very straight and the edges don't meet together very well. So I gave her the one I bought she loved it.

Wow that is a long winded post. Hopefully next time won't be so long between posts.

Hide and Seek

The boys and I were playing hide and seek. It was mine and little brothers turn to find big brother. So we count and wait a while. Then We set out to find big brother. We walk around the house once, then again and again. By now I start to get worried. I check in the house and we walk around the house one more time. Then out he pops under a yellow barrel. He never made a sound until he finally popped out.

Easter picinic

Every year for Easter we get together and have an easter picnic. This is the whole family. We got together the friday before easter and had a picnic. And and easter egg hunt. We had a ton of fun. IT was a bit chilly but we had a fire.

Day light savings time?

So on Sunday I went to church and I was about 5 minutes early (so I thought). So I walked in being pretty proud of myself because I was on time with a few minutes to spare. and thinking to myself, "Yeah, I am on time!" But when I sit down and the speaker is all ready up and talking. I thought to myself "They have started early, I was so mad because they started early without me." But then I realized it was the last speaker, and then I realized "oh. Day light savings time." So I was an hour late to church. I was a little embarrassed. But I just laughed because it was pretty funny!:)

Wow, this is looking out south east of our front door. Can you see that little speck in the middle of the picture? That is big brother going on an adventure. The littleones went out to play. I was doing things around the house and looked out the window and they were no where to be found. So I was searching and searching. Finally I looked out into the filed and there was big brother just this little speck.

Little brother was just around the corner. Totally content on his green tractor. I am so excited that it is getting warm. Now they can go out and play.

weekend project

So I was supposed to go with DH to colorado to deliver a load of hay. I searched and searched for a project so my hands could be busy on the way. Then the weather was bad so we didn't go. But I finished my project any. And I wanted to share it with you. These are called chunky slippers. The first slipper I made is the right one and it is bigger than the first one. I think I missed a step on this one. But the second one is the left one and it fits better and looks a little better. I did all the steps on this one so it is the way it is supposed to look. This project was fun. I have been wanting to use this yarn for something, and I have been wanting to slippers. So now I have some awesome chunky slippers.
So on monday DH and I went to park city and He got his wisdom teeth out. It was really fast. I had another project I took and was expecting to get really far on it but. We weren't there for very long so I wasn't able to do much on it. I will share this project another day. So now I am off to finish dishes and Laundry. Wish me luck! :)

finished project

I have been wanting to make one of these since I saw it on chars blog. So I will tell you how I did it. I drew the pattern on the board then took it out to my handy dandy saw. I am not the greatest sawer so the sides are the same, but I guess it makes it that much more primitive. Anyway after cutting it out I sanded it, then I painted it black. Then I painted it a light blue on top of the black.Then after it dried I sanded it alll over and made it look really distressed.
Then I took my walnut stain and I slobbered it all over it. Then I wiped it off. It is a big mess so make sure you wear gloves. Then I pounded square nails.(cementnails) in
Then I hung it on the wall and put my candles on it. It looks really light in the picture but it is darker . I am quite proud of myself I did this project without any help from Dh. I even drilled the hole by myself.(I am not real great with a drill)

After I took the picture I found another candle. So I have five candles now. These candles are hand dipped by me.

Before I tell you what has been found let me tell you about my laundry room. Well for the past 6 months or so the laundry room has been just kind of a catch all for whatever. And we have had this shelf for the long as well and I have been wanting DH to hang it for me but there just hasn't been time. So today I asked him pretty please could you hang the shelf. And he said yes he would so it is so nice to have everything put where it belongs here is the after shot.

Here is a sorta before shot I didn't think to take a picture until I was half done. But doesn't it look so much better?

Well there are a lot of things that are lost in this house but today DH was looking for his Fly tying books that his grandpa gave him. I know they are here they are just put up somewhere real good. But anyway while he was searching he found the old nintendo that my family had from probably before I was born. Oh I don't know how old it is but it is pretty old. But I was excited and big brother loved it so much he played duck hunt for quite a while. Now I am off to finish cooking granola. Love you all tons.

6 more weeks of winter!

Yesterday was groundhog day. I didn't even remember until DH came home from work. Every year DH Family gets together and watches the movie Groundhog day. We all love it. All the adults watch the movie while the kids run around the house. There were 2 two year olds there, one of them being my own. They were happy because no one was really paying attention to them. They got into everything. The most destructive thing they got into was Grana's Pero bottle and dumped it on the floor and scattered it everywhere. I guess that is what we get for watching a movie and not paying attention to the little ones. It was a great party we had popcorn with hot tamales mixed in MMMMMMmmm.

Here are a couple of projects if am working on. I am attempting to build a grandmothers flower garden quilt. But at the moment i have lost my template to cut out more hexagons so that project is on the back burner for a little while. I am determined to finish it though. Then there is the fabric covered tin, my mother gave this tin thinking I could us it for something. So I covered it in fabric and filled it full of coffee stained cheese cloth witch kind of looks like dirty tissue but it looks great tied onto primitive stuffs. And then the third picture is of a pincushion I made. I found the pattern over at the The pickled pepper patch. It is supposed to go on a wide mouth mason jar but i haven't found the right jar yet. When i find it will post it. Everyone have a great day love you all!!!

snow play

Well last week after an awesome storm. DH and The little ones went out side and made a snow man. They had such a good time. The sun was shining so they stayed warm. DH was sweating. I got to go out and help put the body and head on because it was too big for DH to do on his own. They had fun eating snow and rolling up the snow man. I do love the snow it is beautiful. Unfortunately We didn't get the snowman arms or any other accessories because DH was called on a fire so our snowman is arm less:(

So I was supposed to go visiting teaching today, I got all ready to but it turns out my partner didn't call until today. So we are not going to go until Thursday. So I am all ready and no where to go. I was planing on going grocery shopping but I have to wait until the money goes through the account. So I am a little anxious this morning.

Yesterday I did learn something new. I started to make banana nut bread for the ladies I go VT to. I got the bananas all mushed up and looked at the next step and realized I didn't have any eggs. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! it was a nightmare. So I got on my trusty internet and asked a question on yahoo. And I found out that you can use apple sauce and baking powder for a substitute. So I went to my pantry and got out the apple sauce. I put all the ingredients in and away I went hoping it would turn out. So after getting it out of the oven I tasted some, and it was great, I think I am going to substitute applesauce for eggs every time I make Banana Nut bread.

We had a visitor come to our house today and he brought us something wonderful gift. Well not really a gift cause we had to pay for it. but anyway it was our cousin Ron he came and hooked our Internet up. So now I can blog YEah how fun huh?

DH asked me if i was going to spend all day on the Internet. I Told him no more than usual I was a little offended but I got over it. I can never stay too mad at him who can stay mad at there husbands for long?

This is the wild kitty that we have adopted We named him Rosco. We is still pretty wild but today while he was in the tree I was able to pet him and he started to purr. In't he beautiful.

Today I decided to take pictures of the boys. I thought it was time to have an update.

And We had a visitor today. Woody. When we went outside to take pictures there he was. It was fun to have him. Big brother asked if we could get ride of our cat and keep Woody. Jasper didn't much care for Woody, he stood his ground though he didn't run away and he would chase Woody if he got too close. And that is why Rosco is in the tree because he would run if Woody got to close and woody would chase him because he ran and didn't fight back.

Play Dough

Last night we made play dough. The boys had such a great time. They both kept trying to eat it. and then they would hurry and spit it out because it didn't taste very good. big brother made lots of snakes.

little brother mostly just would squeeze it and it would get all over his hands and he would lift his hand up and say "duct,duct"

Whenever i get out the camera he says cheese. This is his cheesey grin.

We have Chickens! we are so excited about it. Sam and Logan helped gather the eggs. We found five eggs. But only three made it to the fridge. Logan kept throwing them. Iwanted a picture of the with the eggs.

Crash!!!!

This is our new addition. This is Crash, although I think David might change his name. He is 4 years old and he is very gentle. He is still a colt and that means he is a little jumpy still. But guess what! HE DOES NOT BUCK. I am so excited to ride him.

He stayed in the corral last night. We are really reluctant to put him in with Sandy my horse because we don't want her to rub off on him.

This is our new colt. Isn't he so cute. I think we will call him Jack> But it is not official. The mothers name is Betty>

We went for a ride up to rock creek today. This is a picture I think at the foot of sleeping lady. We had jsut left the storm.

This is the uperstillwater dam. Way cool. Sam loved it. He didn't want to leave he wanted to stay and see the waterfall.

This is at the fishermens parking where we had our picnic. It was cold so we ate in the car.

And this is our soccer team. Aren't they just the cutest. can you just imagine these four Little brats running around trying to play soccer. It is very entertaining.

Sam has really enjoyed it I am glad we have done this it has been good for all of us to get out of the house.

Tonight I got to have a little extra time to myself. The boys were in bed sleeping and David was working so I took my camera and had a little fun. I am sorry if you are grossed out about this picture I was just playing around with my camera and I put my foot up. I think it is way cool.
These are little cactus I thought they are so pretty so I took a picture of them.

This latter is in a big pile of old wood.

And this I have no idea what it is. I am sure David could tell me but don't ask me I just saw a great picture op.

True Story

Last night David was putting ne tin on the roof of our saddle shed. At the end when the boys were a sleep i was helping. And this is our converstion.
D: Can you ketch these nails?
L: Yes I can.
Then he threw me a box of old nails from the old tin. Then I asked
L: Are these nails any good?
D: I don't know they are pretty hammered.
I just started laughing because all nails are hammered when they have been used.
David didn't even know he had made joke until I started laughing. I just thought I would share that with you.
Here is the back of the shed. We didn't get finished because we ran out of light.

Here is the front. Isn't it so cute. The hole in the door is for cats to go through. It used to be an old grainery.Here is another story. sad though. The other kitty alice died. We don't know why.Sam holding jasper. Sam was so sad about Alice.

Kittens

My Mom and I have always loved cats. David gave me these kittens for mothers day. I love them and so do my children and mom.

Eatin Dirt And Other Past Times

Yesterday we went outside, (yes in the wind) Logan had so much fun, and no, that is not chocolate on his face, it's dirt. He will eat handful after handful before i even know he is doing it and he just laughs when I tell him to stop. I took Logan to the doctor because he was having a fever and I thought he was getting strep, but he only has an ear infection. Which is not good because we will probably be putting tubes in his ears. This is his forth or fifth infection we will be doing a follow up appointment after he is done with the antibiotics and we will talk about tubes then.

Sam was riding his bike. He has been sick this week so it was nice that he got to go out side. He was going stir crazy.

We have a little visitor, Tayler, Sam's cousin. They play so good together. Tayler is such a poser when I got the camera out she was just posing everywhere.

This clown costume we found in moms coat closet. We have been organizing every where so we can fit all our stuff and my moms stuff in one house. It has been pretty crazy but he finally got it all cleaned and it is really nice. Anyway Sam wanted to ware this and it is just so cute I had to take a picture. And also I have to tell ya what Sam said the other day, "My mom was walking funny because her legs hurt, and Sam asked "why do your legs hurt"

Mom "Because Granny is getting old" and Sam said "Guess we'll have to get a new granny." We both just laughed it was pretty funny that he thought that we could get a new granny.

Everyday I thank my Heavenly Father for sending me these beautiful spirits. They teach me so much. I love them so much. I love being a mother to them it is the best thing in the world.

Moved

Well it has been another adventure. We have been moved for about a week everything is just being settled. I am so glad to be so close to Our family. We missed this life style and I don't even miss the city life. David was able to go back to work for the Kettles and has been busy with small jobs, Last we he started his new job. and it seems like he has been busy with all of his other jobs. Right now he is building a hitchen rail. I think he is enjoying it. Logan is having his nap which is really nice and Sam is watching "The Lion King" with granny.

I love living here because i can just send my kids outside without worrying that some person is going to come kidnap them. And they love it. Sam is able to go out side whenever he wants and there is so much for him to do. So that is what has been happening here. Everyone have a great weekend.

1: I love to ride horse! And I too love the smell of horses.

2: I am starting to do Cloth diapers. I am not sure what i am getting myself into but I think it will be worth the work.

3: I would like to someday own sheep and make their wool into yarn and sell it.

4: I love to cook. I like to cook anything new. and have tried lots of recipes.

5: I have two boys and I have waited and waited for their eyes to turn brown, but I don't think they are going to.

6: I love to knit, crochet, sew, everything like that, and I have this thing with patterns, if it is free i print it out. I get this from my mother:) she is a pattern collector too.

7: I have fifty projects going at one time. I always start a project and either get tired of it or i find something else i just have to make. Eventually I get them all done one by one.

8: I am a sunbeam teacher with my DH. We love it, even though it is an exhausting job. It is fun.

9: My husband just bought me a pistol, we also took a concealed weapons class together.

10: I am the youngest of 5, and with 5 years in between. It was okay because I got spoiled.

Lewaina gave me this piece of old quilt. It was supposed to go on as a pocket on a bunny but I decided to frame it and add a little stitching to it. I plan on staining both pieces. I will post it when it is finished.

I just finished these fly covers when I decided to post them. I got the idea from Char over at the pickled pepper patch http://charsethman.blogspot.com/ They were really fun and easy to make.

American Soldier

On Saturday we had a little family outing to the Hobie store, to spend some of our tax return:) While we were there three GI's came in wearing their camo. Sam looks at them and says really loud, "Those are bad guys." So David had to quickly explain that they weren't bad guys they were the good guys. And they said, "No, you must be watching the media." So then we continued shopping. Then a while latter they left and while they were leaving David told them thanks for the service they do. And the last guy turns around and takes one of his patches off of his uniform and hands it to Sam and says that he took that badge to Afghanistan. When we left David and I both had tears in our eyes.
It is funny I never thought that something like that would happen to us. I've always heard of things like this happening to other people, but never did I think it would happen to me. I hope that David and I can teach our children to respect and understand the great things that have happened.

Pajama Paty!!

Last night we had a pj party. Their mom and dad are doing their taxes so they needed someone to whatch their kids. David brought the air matress up and they slept on that. It took sam a little while to go to sleep because he was so excited. They all slept fine and were happy this morning. They are all playing down stairs as I write this post.

We got some wood from cabelas on saturday. David set our camp stove up to try the wood out. Sam said he wanted to roast hotdogs. So we had a little family cookout.

1. Motherhood. I love being a mom. It is the best thing in the world when your child comes and gives you a hug and a kiss and says I love you mom.

2. Music. I love music and I love to sing. I might not be very good at it but I love to sing anyway.

3. Movies. I love movies. Pretty much any movie that doesn't have bad language or other things.

4. Microwaves. Where would we be without microwaves!!:)

5. Motorcycles. I have learned to love motorcycles from my beloved husband.lol

6. Micro machines. You know those really little cars and trucks. They come in all sorts. tractors boats cranes you name it they have them. I remember playing with my brothers micro machines. And now my sons have them and love to play with them.

7. Mother. I love my mothers. Yes I have two moms. They my greatest examples:)

8. Men. I love my men. Fathers, sons, husband, brothers, nephews, all of them are men in my life and I love them with all my heart.

9. Mountains. I love the mountains they are so beautiful. I love looking at them and love visiting them. I would like to have a cabin in the mountains someday lol

10. Mayonnaise. I have started to like mayonnaise instead of miracle whip. But I still have to have miracle whip on my tomatoes lol:)

Sam and I went outside today. While I was getting all the snow off the car he was playing on the big pile of snow beside our house. When I was finished I went over and played with him. Unfortunately we don't have a sled. I really wanted him to have fun so I thought, "What can I make in to a sled?" Then I thought of a cookie sheet. So there we were sledding down a hill with a cookie sheet. It was alot of fun and even I enjoyed it. When we came in Sam had rosie cheeks and I just had to take a picture of him.

Sams Leggings

David got Sam's leggings done they are the cutest little things if have ever seen. Well they are almost done, he still needs to put straps on them. Sam is so excited to be just like his dad. We also got some of Davids school money in the mail today. So he can start again. It still isn't enough but we will get more. We know that this is what we are supposed to do and the lord will bless us for doing whats right. And we have been blessed already.

Happy New Year Everyone! We hope you all had a happy new year, and hope you are doing well on your new years resolutions. The Nelsons in Lehi, are doing great. Still waiting for loans to come through so we can continue school. David has finished registering for his spring semester. Sam is almost to turn three and he has started to want to do things on his own. like pour his own milk, syrup, and ketchup, he is learning fast and loves it when daddy comes home to play with him. Right now he is watching one of his favorite movies, "Cars". Granny gave him "101 Dalmatians for Christmas and we watch it at least once a day. The other day he was playing like he was a crazy women driver like cruela devil. He was was saying "I'm a crazy women driver", and he would run around like he was driving a car. It made me laugh. We were watching how it's made on the Discovery channel, they were making a banjo. He was so fascinated with it. after the show was over he had it in his mind that Santa Claus was going to bring him a banjo that night. We told him the Santa Claus only comes once a year. Logan is now a year and walking everywhere and wanting to do everything his big brother does. He is a very picky eater he doesn't like his food to be cold. He has found out that he likes to have a bottle and he only nurses at night. He is growing and already he is playing drums on everything. Today David has started to make little leggings for Sam for Rendezvous. He had to make a run to walmart to get some ribbon. David is also working on some leggings for himself. He really enjoys making things for Rendezvous. And I am just relaxing finally updating my blog. I am reading Rosamonde Pilcher "Under Gemini", and I am attempting to knit some socks. I am also enjoying being a mother and a wife. David and I have an anniversary coming up next week. 4 Years I can't believe its been that long. and then it doesn't seem that long at all. Well I hope everyone that reads this has a good day and I love you all.
